Benny at Bird and Beckett Bookstore, Frisco City on Sunday, 4/23 @ 2 p.m.

Join us Sunday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m., at Bird and Beckett Bookstore, Frisco City, as Ben Bac Sierra performs Amoranalysis: literary deconstruction for the purpose of interpreting and emanating Amor!

Born and raised on the gritty streets of San Fran Frisco’s Mission District, Ben served as a grunt in the Marine Corps before becoming a bookworm 🙂 A professor at City College since 2002, he will be sharing from his published novels Barrio Bushido and Pura Neta and also from his new works, Listo Love and Amoranalysis.

To learn more about him, click here to read the San Francisco Examiner article “Benjamin Bac Sierra: From San Pancho with Amor”:

Imagine—writing made with blood tattooed in books, the libraries which the conquistadores burned. In Pura Neta, Benjamin Bac Sierra gives us such a work for our time.

Maxine Hong Kingston, author of The Woman Warrior

With energy that explodes on the page, Barrio Bushido is rough, raw, uncompromising, and unflinching. Ben Bac Sierra has created three modern day musketeers that define the country we will live in for the next hundred years.

–Alejandro Murguía, San Francico Poet Lauréate Eméritas
