Support Marco Guardado During His Cancer Battle

The funds created through this Gofundme campaign will be blessings to help Marco recover from cancer and the bone marrow transplant process. We wish for him to recuperate in a peaceful, restful environment and to assist him with living expenses, rent, food, bed, transportation costs, help with payment to volunteers (who must take 24 hour shifts monitoring Marco once he is released from the hospital), gas money for volunteers, food for volunteers, etc.

Please donate what you can at the Go Fund Me link here:

Our Loved One Marco “Tony” Guardado was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of acute Leukemia. Since then he has suffered through the most intense chemotherapy medical treatments and has almost died a few times. Every day has been a battle.

The good news is that after almost three years, the University of California, San Francisco Hospital has admitted Marco for the bone marrow transplant process. Should he survive this month-long part of the process, he will require 24 hour round-the-clock care for four to six months in an out-of-hospital restful setting so that he can totally recuperate and begin a new life. Unless he is able to withstand this bone marrow transplant process, Marco has only a few years left to live.

Marco had been working at Recreation and Parks in San Francisco’s Bayview/Hunters Point district, but he may be unable to work for up to at least a year.

Please donate what you can, and share this gofundme page so that others can donate.

Born and raised in the City, Marco has been a staple of the Mission district and San Francisco as a whole. He attended City College of San Francisco for over a decade. He has dedicated his life to helping others in an intimate and community-based manner. At any moment, Marco would help you. He does not care about accumulating wealth or fitting into fixed standards. He loves catching the bus, riding his bike, and walking everywhere he goes. If you needed help moving, he would help you. If you need positive energy, he always has a smile and time to listen to you.

He thinks of others and has this message for you: “Take care of your health; there is nothing more precious in this world.”
